Danae & Saad's stylish Lakehouse Daylesford wedding was not only fun and gorgeous but it was also such a wonderful occasion filled with happiness and love.
You will see from these amazing collection of photos captured by Adrian Tuazon just how much fun and joy this wedding brought to the people they love.
Danae & Saad initially met through Danae’s brother Alex at the medical school “dag night”. They were both dressed in their worse clothing combination in the true spirit of the event. Despite her questionable clothing, Saad remembers this stunning blonde girl with the most amazing smile but he was well aware that she may have been out of bounds as she was his friend’s sister. Thankfully and without any hesitation they gained approval from Alex.
Danae made for a stunning bride and what a stunning Gwendolynne gown.
After the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to Jose Gonzalez's Heartbeats, Danae and her father walked to Ben Harper's Forever.
Saad surprised Danae by proposing during a trip to Ravello – one of those most romantic spots along the cliffside of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. After spending the morning exploring, they returned to their hotel and Danae was so busy being distracted by the stunning views that she didn’t notice Saad pacing on the balcony. When she joined him on the balcony, it suddenly occurred to her that there might be a reason for the incredibly special hotel. After sharing some special words, that he cannot even remember, Saad dropped down onto one knee and asked Danae to Marry him. Of course the answer was always going to be yes
Danae's beautiful bouquet was created by Denise Robinson at the Lakehouse.
What a dream team
And what a sublimely styled reception
Danae, Saad and their family and friends enjoyed a wonderful day filled with contagious laughter, delicious food and an evening of dancing the night away.

"We couldn't have been happier with Fiona as our celebrant; she was just brilliant. Not only did she conduct a beautiful ceremony, but she made us feel at ease from the moment we met her. She is generous with her time, passionate about her work and on the day we had so many comments about how wonderful the ceremony was, which speaks for itself!"

Spring has sprung, wedding season has begun
Ahhh September, Spring has sprung, wedding season has begun.
As I prepare for all the weddings in the coming months, this little collection of memories shows how lucky I am to have the best seat in the house.
I cannot watch it without smiling and remembering how fortunate I am to have these moments of magic, while I am supposedly “working”

Mel & Brenton's wedding at Emu Bottom Homestead
Mel & Brenton were married recently at Emu Bottom Homestead – a gorgeous rustic venue at the foot of the Macedon Ranges.
They are high school sweethearts and their wedding was a celebration of their 12 year relationship with all their friends and family.
As family and friends gathered anticipating the bride’s arrival, guests were treated to the wonderful sounds of Brentwood Duo – who help create the perfect atmosphere for a great afternoon of fun and celebrations.
Their ceremony was the perfect mix of fun with sincerity and many heartfelt moments throughout.
After the official proceedings, guests mingled and played lawn games before enjoying an evening of great food and celebrations.
Ryan Wheatley was behind the camera capturing all the happy smiles and the occasion.
Here is a summary of their day in beautiful pictures captured by Ryan Wheatley
Thank you Mel & Brenton for your beautiful words. “Dear Fiona, thank you for all your guidance and planning in the lead up to the day – you were such a delight to work with. The ceremony was just perfect and the feedback from our guests reflected this. Thanks again!”

Alex & Josh's beach wedding
Alex and Josh have been together 6 years and they initially met through mutual friends. They recently celebrated their love in a perfect beachside wedding at the Iconic West Beach Bathers Pavillion on a very warm Summer's afternoon. Mardy Bridges Photography has managed to captured the vibe and the effortless style of this day on St Kilda Beach, beautifully.
Alex spent the morning relaxing and getting ready with her family and her bridesmaids by her side. There was a buzz of excitement as the clock ticked towards showtime.
Josh and the boys arrived at the venue and they enjoyed relaxing and mingling with the guests as the anticipation of Alex's arrival was starting to build.
Alex & Josh had their heart set on a beach wedding in St Kilda - the suburb they live and love. But due to the hot weather, the decision was made for the comfort of everyone to instead have their ceremony in the beautiful marquee. By no means did this effect the enjoyment of all involved.
Finally the moment everyone had been waiting for had arrived.
Breaking with tradition, the groomsmen boogied with the bridesmaids down the aisle to the sound of Once in my life by Stevie Wonder, setting the tone for a relaxed and light hearted ceremony. As Alex and her dad Jeff made their entrance, guests erupted into spontaneous applause.
At the beginning of the ceremony I suggested to some of the little people involved in the wedding, if they would like to draw a special picture for Alex & Josh. This could be a picture of the bride and groom on their wedding day or any special picture, which we would give to them at the end of the ceremony. This is a great way to keep children busy and make them feel important.
I loved telling the story of Josh’s fun filled proposal, where he surprised Alex after suggesting that they celebrate Halloween at a haunted mental asylum. Sounds like the perfect romantic date!! As they were ushered through the labyrinth by bloodied nurses and lobotimised patients, Josh performed a procedure of his own, resulting in a total and terminal engagement!!!! It was a moment they will never forget and makes a great story for their grandchildren!
Their vows were the perfect mixture of sincerity and fun. Alex promises included to always “ listen attentively to your historical facts, bring you coffee in bed, sometimes take the scenic route and always be prepared for the zombie apocalypse”.
While Josh Declared “I promise to support your hiking adventures, bring you flowers and chocolate croissants, sometimes take the quick way and always help eat the leftover cake”
Making the most of the stunning beach surrounds, they then spent time with Mardy their photographer before they rejoined guests for an evening of celebration and fun with entertainment provided by Horns of Leroy.
This was a truly beautiful wedding bursting with style, colour and love.
Alex & Josh thank you for inviting me to be part of this very special occasion and thank you for taking the time to share this lovely review on Easyweddings.
"Fiona, what can I say? Thank you SO much for a beautiful ceremony. You helped us through every step of the way and made it simple and heartfelt. Many people commented how great you were, and how touching the ceremony was. Brides seriously look no further Fiona is terrific and a sea of calm in what can be a hectic time. I cannot recommend her more"
